Creative Vegan Meals

Image
This week, I will be going through some of my favorite recipes I have come across so far being vegan. My focus when I am making a vegan dish is th e amount of protein it contains . The stigma around being vegan is that the food does not contain protein. This is a big misconception - vegans simply must be more creative with their dishes. Beans have a lot of protein , so most of the meals I m ake have either black beans or garbanzo beans.     The first recipe is what I meet most days for lunch or for a snack. It is called a chickpea or garbanzo bean salad, and beans are the base of it instead of lettuce .   • 2 c ans of chickpeas, drained, rinsed , and mashed   • 1 can of black beans, drained, rinsed, and mashed   • ½   bag of frozen sweet corn   • ½ s weet red and/or orange bell pepper chopped fine   • C elery chopped fine (sometimes I substitute a cucumber)   • V egan mayo   • Lemon juice   • Spices of your choice, I use...

When thinking about it, animals like cows get all their energy and nutrients from eating plants. So, why can humans not do the same thing? Also, after eating a dense meal such as a burger from a fast-food restaurant, it is common to feel tired or heavy.   -Clear...

The Benefits of a Vegan Lifestyle

In recent years, veganism has been popularized around the world and has become a movement for those trying to positively impact the environment as well as their personal health. This blog is going to go through the benefits that veganism holds, as well as my personal experience with becoming vegan. Improved Health: While there are still ways to eat junk food while being vegan, such as Oreos or french fries, when done correctly, a vegan diet is rich in vitamins and nutrients that are very good for the body and improve one's health. Plant-based foods such as fruit, vegetables, nuts, and grains will help lead someone to start feeling much better about their health. After about four weeks of being vegan, I began to feel a lot healthier and had more energy than when compared to my diet before. Environmental Impact: If everyone adopted a vegan diet, the planet would be a lot more sustainable, and greenhouse gas emissions would not be as much of a problem. Eating plant-based foods is one...
